This Privacy Policy explains how AskBam Ltd ("AskBam", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our website (askbam.com) and services. We are the data controller for the purposes of UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
AskBam Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company number [Company registration number]), registered office [Registered office address]. You can contact us any time at bam@askbam.com.
When customers pay through AskBam, payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store full card details — these are handled by Stripe as a payment processor.
We use a small number of cookies. Essential cookies keep the site working. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) only load after you click "Accept" on our cookie banner, and you can decline them. You can also clear cookies at any time in your browser settings.
We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run AskBam, including: Netlify (website hosting), Google Analytics (site analytics), Stripe (payment processing), and email/communication tools we use to contact you. Each processes data on our behalf under appropriate agreements. We may also disclose data where required by law.
Some of our providers (such as Google and Stripe) may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK-approved transfer mechanisms to keep your data protected.
We keep personal data only as long as we need it — for example, waitlist emails until launch and a reasonable period after, and customer data for as long as you have an account plus any period required for legal, tax or accounting purposes.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to: access your data; correct it; ask us to delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; request portability; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email bam@askbam.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and work only with reputable providers. No online service can be completely secure, but we take your privacy seriously.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
